The Arts in the Classroom program, launched in the fall of 2009, provides funding for teachers to pay for artists to come into the classroom. The goal is for students to learn content areas through the multimodal stimulation of the arts. PALS' budget for this program will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Teachers: Please click the link to go to a list of local artists. Here's a link for a list of Wyoming Arts Council Roster Artists.

Please click the link for the grant request form. Instructions on how to submit the application are included on the form. Grant requests are reviewed on a rolling basis. Please allow 2 weeks for approval (it often takes less time).

Once the project is completed, please click the link for the evaluation form. A completed evaluation form must be submitted before payment can be processed.

Process:
Annie Reber of PALS serves as the liaison between teachers and artists. If you'd like ideas on projects that you can do, click her name to email her.
Artist and teacher get together to brainstorm ideas in a planning session.
If they decide to go forward, complete the Grant Request Form and return it to PALS.
PALS will approve or decline the request within 2 weeks (usually sooner).
The artist then conducts the workshop.
The teacher takes photos for PALS and submits the completed evaluation form.
PALS requests payment for the artist (a process that can take up to 4 weeks, because it's paid by the school district).
